sinking into
pillow-cheek comfort
one hand
one hand
covering a ear
the other
clutching at nothing
half-drawn blanket
shut eyes, mind
and sleep takes over.

this is the most wondrous thing i've ever read about that twilight zone of half-consciousness between waking and sleeping..i'll remember this. :)
