i tried hard to swallow
the lump in my throat
but something just snapped
and the dam broke.

Listen in silent mutiny
To the stinging words
thrown at you,
All the more hurting
coz you know
they're true.

Close your eyes and lay back,
As the song plays on,
Arousing in your mind's eye
A kaleidoscope of memories.

A mysterious force
Call it allurement
Enticement,temptation
Pulls me towards it
Rich,half-melted
When will I learn
To resist chocolate?
Cautious at first
Dolce,softly,gently
The notes gradually rise
Into a majestic crescendo...
And a heart lifts
As the random chords
One after another
Merge into euphony.
Powerful,apassionato
The prelude begins
Enticing,pulling you into
The vortex of its charm

Flashing images
Technicolor dreams
Blurred visions
Dance all around

Step into another world
You are but its victim
Who wishes not...
To ever return.

A blurred haze
A collage of confusion
Lies in front of me.

I look at it and then realise
Somewhere along the line
I have lost myself.

Fooled

It was a cruel joke
and I was a naive victim
To fall
Headlong into its trap

Had realisation struck afore
I would not have been
Deceived by the beckoning mirages.
The distant thunder rumbles
Waves rage against the rocks
Trees sway from side to side
And the gale howls wildly.

The swirling passions arise
Like a sandstorm.

Unvoiced emotions find expression
Then like a departing tornado,
slowly subside
Into a deafening silence.

The Immortal Live Unnoticed

As gently as snowflakes from the sky,
The autumn leaves do fall to the ground
The flutter in the breeze and come to rest
But they fall not with a single sound.

Once they were lively, young and green,
But unseen, unknown they began to fade
Now they lie,an admired sight,
A carpet of soft enchanting jade.

Piano Blues

Drift away into daydreams,
As the mellow harmonies sound
Whispering like a mountain spring
Lilting as the piper's song.
Soul-stirring as an opera,
Soft as the raindrops fall.
Drift away into daydreams,
As the mellow harmonies sound
And let it whisk you away..

The Coward and the Hero

She stood at the edge of an abyss,
Her face tear-stained,her mind full
Of trifling troubles and petty worries-
Loving parents and a good home she had,
Yet the iron chains of self-pity and
Selfishness gripped her mind,
Blocking out all sanity.
Escapade for herself,but leaving behind
A lifetime of sorrow and grief.
Taking a deep breath she jumped,
Not realising...
The mountains that behind her stood,
The sun that before her shone.

She stood at the edge of an abyss,
Her face tear-stained,her clothes in rags,
A father lost in war,a mother ailing,
Her yound mind scarred with wounds,
Yet acceptance,determination and
Courage reaffirmed her faith
Taking a deep breath she turned around
To admire...
The mountains that behind her stood,
The sun that before her shone.

Hints of a golden azure,
Spread over the horizon
Sunlight streams through the tree
And a light misty curtain
Lingers in the sleeping valley
And somewhere,distantly,
A bird's clear and sweet call
Cuts through the silence.
